About Our Mission at SENDminds
A Father’s Mission
While most kids are out on the pitch, yours is busy wondering how the grass grows
Connecting the Great Explorers
A Space for the Deep Thinkers
A Mission Fueled by Discovery
SENDminds wasn’t founded by a corporation—it was founded by a family.
Meet the Founders
Daddy | Co-Founder & Tech Lead
IT Engineer & Founding Uber Partner
Since 2013,a dedicated Uber partner since 2013 and IT engineer, I have learned that a city is only as strong as its communities. As the founder of uberdrivers.eu (the UK's #1 ranked independent hub), I’ve spent a decade building digital spaces where thousands of people find support. Now, I’m using that experience to build the "Science Squad" for the families who need it most.
Mommy | Co-Founder & Educational Lead
Senior SEND Teaching Assistant
Mommy provides the professional heart of SENDeureka. As an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with years of experience in London primary schools, she works daily on the front lines of special education. She specializes in "scaffolding" learning—breaking complex STEM concepts into sensory-friendly, low-anxiety activities. Her classroom expertise ensures that every experiment on SENDeureka is safe, inclusive, and educationally sound.
SENDminds wasn’t born in a boardroom; but it was born at a kitchen table in London.
Our founder, a dedicated Uber partner since 2013 and IT engineer, saw his 7-year-old son—brilliant, social, and obsessed with the wonders of space—struggling to find friends who shared his intensity for discovery.
SENDminds was born from a simple observation: My 7-year-old son is a brilliant, focused explorer. While his peers are busy with football or playing catch, he is busy investigating the Phoenix black hole.
But when it came to science and space? That was his Superpower.
He could spend hours focused on the stars, the laws of physics, and the "how" of the universe. He is brilliant, curious, and incredibly smart—but he sometimes feels a sense of loneliness. He doesn't need a coach; he needs a Science Buddy.
He isn't looking for a 'quiet room'—he's looking for a conversation. His social skills are pure and honest, but he often finds himself alone because his interests are literally out of this world.
I realized that there are thousands of kids like him: neurodivergent minds that are 'super-powered' by science and space.
SENDminds is the centralized hub where these kids can find their intellectual 'Science Buddies' and finally talk to someone who understands the scale of their dreams
We believe the planet needs more science-loving kids. If a child wants to talk about event horizons instead of goalposts, they shouldn't have to do it alone. They need a Science Buddy.

Our Story:
Connecting the Great Explorers
The Vision of SENDminds
SENDminds is the centralized hub where these deep thinkers find their tribe. We connect kids who think differently so they can combine their "superpowers," share their discoveries, and build friendships based on mutual wonder.
We aren't just a social platform; we are a community for the future scientists of the world.
The "Science Buddy" Mission
We realized that there is a whole generation of neurodivergent children who are "super-powered" by their interests. They are kind, social, and eager to share their knowledge, but they are often left on the sidelines because their "language" is science, space, and discovery rather than sports.
What We Do:
Buddy Matching: We help parents find "Science Buddies" for their kids based on specific deep-dive interests (like Astrophysics, Chemistry, or Paleontology).
The Science Corner: An accessible library of experiments and facts for kids who want to dive deep into the "how" of the universe.
Supportive Community: A space for parents to connect, share resources, and celebrate their children's unique intellectual journeys.
Our Philosophy: We don't see "limitations"—we see Specializations. Whether your child is obsessed with the Phoenix black hole or the engineering of a green city, they have a home here.
All activities are designed or vetted by a Senior SEND Professional.
Safety First: Built with UK Primary School safeguarding standards in mind.
Family-Run: A grassroots project by a London family for London families.
Every Child is a Scientist. Most Labs Just Aren't Built for Them.
Why We Are Different:
Expert-Curated: Co-founded by an experienced SEND Specialist, our activities are adapted from frontline primary school techniques.
Tech-Driven: Engineered by an IT Professional, our platform is built to scale, connecting thousands of families across the London driver community.
Community-First: We aren't just a website; we are the "Science Squad." We turn isolated learning into a shared family experience.
